What is Chopsticks?

How can I get involved?

You can get involved with Chopsticks USYD by signing up to our mailing list (through the form below) where you can get updates of all our events and opportunities. You can also follow us on our socials where we post updates on events!

How do I become a Chopsticks Member?

You can register to become a Chopsticks member by visiting our stall during USYD’s Orientation Week. Alternatively, if you attend any Chopsticks event, simply look for one of our approachable executive team members, and they'll assist you with the registration process. Membership fee for a year-long registration is just $5.

Furthermore, presenting your sticker at Chopsticks events unlocks special member rates (often as low as $0) for food and other merchandise. Even if it’s just a few events, the value of your membership will easily offset the cost of attending events as a non-member.

Do you have to be Chinese to join Chopsticks?

Not at all. Chopsticks welcomes everyone, regardless of their ethnicity, culture, religion, or race. Our focus is on sharing and celebrating Chinese culture, rather than requiring members to be Chinese themselves.

What would I receive in my membership?

For just $5, your one-year membership offers abundant rewards.Upon joining, all members will receive a personalized membership sticker to affix to their university ID.
